Bansal Group was established by Mr. Kapoorchand Bansal and Mr. Raj Bansal. Initially the group worked the field of rail tracks and locomotive scrap. With the experience of more than 37 years, Bansal group is now a diversified business group engaged in the field of: Ship Recycling Industrial Oxygen Gas Manufacturing Export import of scrap, minerals, metals, machinery and machine tools. We are one of the key initiators who work in the Alang Ship Recycling yard since 1983. Than after we always took the lead in all kind of business and social activities like Oxygen Manufacturing business or assuring safety to our workers at the yard. At present company is having two ship breaking plots with approximately 2.5 acres of working area. Both of these plots are at Alang ship Recycling Yard, Bhavnagar, India, which is the largest ship Recycling yard in the Asian continent Bansal group is now one of the most sizable businesses in the Recycling industry with a total turnover of nearly 87.5 billion INR till date.

History and Time Line

Since 1983, we are a key initiator who works in Alang Ship Recycling Yard. At present company is having two ISO Certified Ship Recycling Plots with approximately 2.5 acres of working area which are at Alang Ship Recycling Yard, Bhavnagar, India, and they are the largest ship Dismantling Yard in the Asian continent. Bansal Group is now one of the most sizable businesses in the Dismantling Industry with a total turnover of nearly 2.99 Billion INR till today. The companies are basically managed from Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The body of the group is Mr. Kapoor Bansal: Chairman of the group and chief policymaker. He is one of the founder members of the Bansal Group and the only person still working with the group amongst them.

1983 Started the Recycling of first ship named M.V. Saudi Trader about 5670 LDT/MT. at Plot / Yard No.41,Ship recycling Yard, Alang.
1991 Bansal Ship Breakers Pvt. Ltd. established to expansions of Business because of increasing number of vessel per year to be recycled.
1992 Kapoorchand Bansal Started Ship Recycling activity as sole proprietor of Gupta Steel (Ship recycled) at plot No. 41 of Alang Ship Recycling Yard.
1993 Bansal Gases established in order to assure uninterrupted oxygen supply to the own Ship Recycling unit.
1996 Bansal Ship Breakers Pvt. Ltd.has Started the Recycling of first ship named M.V. Stafos about 7564 LDT/MT at Plot / Yard No.25,Ship Recycling Yard, Alang.
2001 M.T. Atlantic Blue, the largest ship ever we purchased recycled by us. (44023 LDT/MT)
